Give of Yourself

"Be of service. Whether you make yourself available to a friend or co-worker, or you make time every month to do volunteer work, there is nothing that harvests more of a feeling of empowerment than being of service to someone in need."  -Gillian Anderson
"Research has shown that people who volunteer often live longer."  -Allen Klein
When you choose to volunteer a service, you help someone in need and also help yourself to feel worthwhile, maybe learn a new skill, and also give yourself a boost in self-confidence and self-esteem.  Volunteers also help their community as a whole.  There are MANY other reasons volunteering is good both for the volunteer and the recipient of the services.  People make connections this way.  The world would be a more loving place if everyone would take just an hour a week or month to volunteer.
If you would like information on where to volunteer in your area and what services are available, go to http://volunteer.truist.com/omaha/volunteer/ today.  There are literally thousands of opportunities waiting for a person like you.
